Recently, Snapchat has released an update to its in-app analytics for Creator accounts. Also, it has added a new ‘ Quoting’ feature that allows Snapchat users to respond to replies in their public Stories. It means that Snapchat users will have a new slate of tools with access to updated in-app analytics.
The new analytics layout provides deeper insight into subjects such as ‘Interactions’ and more. The new tools and features will make it easy for Snapchat users to interact with their subscriber base.
Quoting
The Snapchat Quoting feature is similar to the Q&A Sticker on Instagram. It engages fans and simplifies sharing a subscriber’s reply to a Public Story. A Snap Star (Snapchat user) can ask subscribers to answer questions or send questions. Subscribers will be notified if they get quoted.
Creators will be able to tap on the quotation marks icon to the right of any reply from their analytics dashboard. Then, you can take a new Snap, with the reply included as a sticker that is attached in the frame. You can then drag and re-shape the sticker in the frame before adding it to your public story. However, this is only for those having Creator accounts.
While not many people have access to these tools, it is helpful for those who might want to use these options. For those who have access to the tools, will have some new tools to play with and those who don’t will be able to understand why they’re seeing these new types of Q and A type Stories posts in the app.
In-App Analytics
With the new update, users will be able to see the segregated count of subscribers and non-subscribers in addition to the total number of views and viewers.
Other features such as Replies, Screenshots, and Swipe-ups come with the numbers of Tap Forwards/ Backwards and Swipe-Aways.
The new analytics layout is slightly different from the older one. The earlier layout did not show segregated insights and it showed the daily reach bar graph instead of showing data of each individual story.

Though Snapchat analytics is not available to all users, those who have access could use them to stay on top of all aspects of Snapchat.
In addition to the Quoting and In-app features, Snapchat has also rolled out new bitmoji characters to promote masks during COVID-19.
